Eligiblity
To be eligible, startups must be less than 10 years old, headquartered in the identified region, or predominantly focused on that market (e.g. > 80% revenue/customers). They must also be start-ups or scale-ups, that is 'pre-exit' (i.e. not acquired, a subsidiary or listed) and not controlled by an investor group (e.g. via private equity buyout or controlling investment).
Methodology
Companies are evaluated on five equally weighted dimensions. HolonIQ analysts, regional and industry experts evaluate an assigned number of companies in the five dimensions. All companies are scored on every dimension on a 10-point scale.
Once initial evaluations are complete, scoring is processed to adjust for variance and bias in each evaluator's unique scoring approach. This reduces differences in how the 10-point scale is applied and variance in outlier evaluations on a specific company, compared to peer evaluators assessment of the same company.
A total weighted adjusted score and ranking is established, following which HolonIQ consults with select regional and industry experts to confirm the final cohort.

Q. What information is required in the application form?
You will be asked to provide details about the startup such as website, business model, location, revenue band, employee band, summary of product or services, CEO details, founded year, external funding and examples/evidence of momentum. You may upload a pitch deck or other materials (optional).
Q. Does my application guarantee the company will be listed?
No. Companies are evaluated following the evaluation methodology and only those companies rated the highest are selected for inclusion in the final list.
Q. Do I have to pay to apply or nominate a company?
No, submitting information about a company is free. There is no cost to submitting an application or being selected.
