Today, he leads the Whiteboard Advisors postsecondary communications practice, advising some of the most visionary leaders, groundbreaking education technology companies, and influential social impact investors committed to improving access, quality, and outcomes for learners nationwide. Coming from a family deeply rooted in academia, Ted inherited a lifelong passion for advancing upward mobility through education.
Ted’s practice centers on advising education technology companies, social impact investors, and non-profit organizations, helping them harness the power of brand narrative, earned media strategy, public opinion research, and content creation to scale their impact and reach influential national audiences. His expertise in higher education media trends has earned him speaking engagements at premier industry convenings, including Complete College America, SHEEO’s Higher Education Policy Conference, CAEL, EDUCAUSE, and the global HolonIQ Summit. Ted is passionate about supporting upward mobility through education and is active in the community as a board member and pro-bono advisor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Kenyon College and is an alumnus of Northfield Mount Hermon School.
