Pierre Dubuc is the co-founder and CEO of OpenClassrooms, one of the largest global education-to-employment platform providers, with over 350,000 students across 140 countries. Founded in Paris and operating internationally, OpenClassrooms is a private, B-Corp-certified distance-learning organization. Pierre met Mathieu Nebra, the company’s co-founder, in 2001 when both were teenagers passionate about coding and computers. Together, they launched OpenClassrooms in 2013, after years of advancing online education and several pivots.

OpenClassrooms is making education accessible to all by delivering fully online work-based learning programs and internationally recognized degrees.  It is accredited as a higher education institution by the French state and recognized as a registered apprenticeship provider by the US DoL.
OpenClassrooms specializes in delivering apprenticeship programs, designed to help businesses innovate, diversify their talent base, and future-proof their workforce. The platform offers pre-apprenticeship bootcamps and year-long apprenticeship programs, alongside flexible upskilling and reskilling tracks for in-demand roles.
Through individualized mentoring, hands-on projects, and a mastery learning approach, these work-based pathways provide students with real-world experience and direct access to employment opportunities.

Among numerous other distinctions, Pierre Dubuc was featured among the “30 under 30” by Forbes magazine and selected in the 2020 Young Leaders program of the French-American Foundation.  In 2021, he was distinguished by the Ordre National du Mérite by the French government.
