Before joining Learn Capital, Matthew was Chief Impact Officer at Gary Community Ventures, where he led investment and impact strategy to improve education and economic mobility. His earlier work spans philanthropy, civic innovation, and data systems, with a focus on equitable community development.

He holds a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado and serves on the boards of several nonprofit and venture-backed organizations.
