Kate Eberle Walker is the CEO of Presence, a leading provider of PreK–12 remote special education-related and mental health assessment and teletherapy services. Presence connects speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and behavior and mental health specialists to schools and students nationwide. Its network of 2,000+ clinicians has delivered more than 7 million teletherapy sessions to students with diverse needs.
Throughout her career, Kate has actively supported initiatives focused on leveraging technology to create stronger human connections between experts and students. Prior to leading Presence, she was CEO of The Princeton Review, a leading provider of test prep, admission and tutoring services, and Tutor.com, which offers online on-demand tutoring. She started her journey in education at Kaplan, a large and diversified global education company, where she led the acquisitions of 70+ companies, invested in 15+ education startups, and launched the Kaplan Techstars Edtech Accelerator. She has served on several education-focused boards, including Barnes and Noble Education, Babbel and Rosetta Stone.
Kate is the author of the book, The Good Boss: Nine Ways Every Manager Can Support Women at Work. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two daughters.
