The HolonIQ Australia-New Zealand EdTech 50 recognises the most promising EdTech teams based in Australia and New Zealand, and helps to shine a light on innovation across the market, the robustness of the ecosystem, and the collaboration between EdTech companies and education institutions.

The ANZ EdTech 50 is HolonIQ’s annual list of the most innovative EdTech startups across Australia and New Zealand region. We welcome nominations from EdTech companies, their customers and investors.

The Australia & New Zealand EdTech market sees strong activity across all sectors and particularly in K12 and Higher Education. Given the historical strength in the use of technology in teaching and delivery, we see many EdTech teams supporting institutions with education management, communication and analytics systems, as well as a strong focus on digital content solutions.  Language learning and assisting international students features along with strong STEAM and Coding.  In the Workforce learning segment, digital skill development, mentoring software and experiential learning solutions feature.

Eligibility & Criteria

To be eligible, startups must be less than 10 years old, operate in the EdTech segment and be independently owned (that is, not acquired or publicly listed, and not a subsidiary of a larger company or controlled by an investor group such as private equity).
